happy dance
dear friend:
since my cell phone gets crappy reception here in the heart of the delta, i'm blogging as opposed to calling you with good news. i have a job for the fall. near my hometown. 15-20 students/class, 140 students in the school (TOTAL), 45% poverty (versus 95% here), super-cool principal & superintendent, beautiful/big/hardwood-floored classroom with - get this! - enough room for an editing table and about a dozen bookshelves, and a paycheck. there are four newish (within the last 4 years or so) teachers working there, AND i get a mentor. insert blissful sigh here. yay me!
i wish i had something witty and/or sarcastic to say, but i'm too happy-dancish to get there right now. any advice for any of these classes: american lit, british lit, mass media, and/or american novel/composition?
love, faith
