stupid-heads
some of my students took their final exams early (last week) because they were retaking their subject-area tests this week, and the district felt that they should be spared the undue stress of having both finals and exit exams during the same week.
i was reviewing with my english 4 students who had not yet taken their tests yesterday, and i was mixing up my "on the test" questions with my "not on the test" questions... one of my students raised her hand and asked, "why are you asking us that? it's not like it's on the test." yeah, she'd seen the test. her classmates had all of the answers written down, copied from a kid who took the test last week. it's sad... because i might not have changed the test if she hadn't said anything, and now they have to take a different test... AND i have to make one up before i leave school today. wah. pout.
