so sleepy. stayed up until 1:30 averaging grades and double-checking the authenticity of students' research-paper rough drafts (16 of 90 plagiarized thus far - but i'm also missing around 25 papers). the students have been out for various reasons today - pretesting for the english II test, pretesting for the u.s. history test, pretesting for the ACT... so i've had what i would consider three real class periods, and three free periods (only a couple of students). boooorrrrrrinnnnggg...
fun kid stuff:
- coffee stopped by with a friend to share his chips and tell his friend that he was going to marry me
- rio came by to talk and told me that i was a really good teacher (for real, folk)
- students got their grades today, and there were no real surprises (equals no tears - yay!)
