30 licks and a hematoma...

corporal punishment drives me crazy. it's such an easy, cop-out way of dealing with our students and their problems, and it does nothing for them on a long-term basis. i know, nothing new. i guess i'm just bothered by the fact that my wild chld fighting boy got 15 licks and his actions were dismissed as being "dramatic." well, no shit.
