mail for all...

dear kate,

i'll miss you. you were one of the coolest people ever. hope you like hooking up with spence in the afterlife.

love, a fan

dear senator frist,

you're a jackass.

recently, at least, amendments have been written to give people rights (the right to vote, to be considered an equal citizen, etc.)... what up with you trying to ban gay marriages? i don't understand how you can be from al's state and be this much of a jerk. are you the antithesis to al? have you not met the johnstons? see, now they're some cool people from TN. you're just making your state look bad. please reconsider your closemindedness.

sincerely, a citizen

dear andrew sullivan,

if i had an older brother, i'd want him to be just like you.

love, a sister in a future life

dear god,

could you please get us some more democrats into the government in next year's election? we really could use an equal rights amendment, and i'm pretty tired of warring with people who aren't exactly like us at all times. if you can't get some democrats in there, could you at least convince the "compassionate conservatives" (HA!) that diversity is a good thing? i sure would appreciate your help with this.

love, your child

dear boy in question,

i still really like you. a lot. i still want you, i still crave you as part of my life. if you came up to me today and asked me to stay in it, i might say yes. good thing i'm four states away, right? great that we're not talking right now? i want you to know that the weekend with you was one of the best ones i've had... ever. it sucks that our relationship was built on a lie. where to go from here?

confused, silly girl

dear lizzie, carole, maggie, and shannon (and all future rho hos),

i love you guys. i miss you. i wish that i was as strong as you seem to think i am. i don't know how long i'll be able to block him out of my life. some fierce, independent feminist i'm turning out to be, eh? shannon, if you still have the magic eight ball, ask it if i'll be over him by the time i return to the nola. lizzie, i can't wait to talk to you about harry potter (i finished it in a day). carole, i need some advice on changing my blogskin; i'm a dork and can't figure it out on my own. maggie (who doesn't read blogs), i hope your trip is going well; thanks for being rockin strong and supportive. love to all...

in crisis, faith
