re: the mess earlier today. so, the kids that have heard about it are FURIOUS with the principal. i've had kids offer to steal from him, to jump him (he's something like 6'7"), to go off on him, and more. i guess that second period was really, really upset about the whole thing. it makes me feel like the biggest dork in the world, but it's very sweet to have them show me how much they care about me. somebody in seventh period (my newly-returned alternative school kid - yay!) asked me if i was leaving. when i told him that i wanted to stay until my juniors graduated, he beamed. see, and the funny part is that i want to stay until my sophomores graduate, too. i just don't know if i can hang on that long.
the student who was involved with the mess heard that i'd cried during second period (i hate being weak) and - just as i was leaving to go find him because he looked upset - he came by to see me during our lunch. we hugged and walked together for a little while, just to make sure that the other was alright. i think the principal saw us together, but i couldn't give a flying fuck at this point. the kids come first.
